Amphibious Assault Vehicle Prototype
This 1/72 scale plastic kit from Aoshima is based on the AAVP-7A1, an armored amphibious personnel carrier currently in service with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force since 2018. Nearly 50 units had been deployed as of 2020. The model brings military authenticity to your collection.
High-Detail Weapons and Upgraded Armor
The kit features weaponry such as a 40mm automatic grenade launcher and a 12.7mm heavy machine gun. Newly-molded increased armor, known as EEAK, is included for additional realism. These features capture the modernized look and function of the actual vehicle.
Dynamic Functionality and Interior Detail
Modelers can open and close the rear hatch for immersive play and display options. The interior comes fully detailed for an accurate construction experience. Additional parts like blinkers, mirrors, and GPS antennas provide extra realism.
New-Mold Crew Figure Adds Life
A brand-new water team member figure wearing a boonie hat is included in the kit for the first time. This figure allows diorama builders to animate their work and enhance narrative settings. The human element complements the armored vehicle perfectly.
Unpainted and Engaging Display Model
Unpainted and unassembled, this kit requires adhesive and invites creative finishing and custom paintwork. Step-by-step instructions make building accessible to experienced modelers and hobbyists. The completed model is an excellent addition to 1/72 scale military displays.
