The simulated air scoop was given an updated look with three bars added to give the illusion of air channelling to the rear brakes.
The fuel cap with grooved edges and the words “Ford Mustang” stamped concentrically into the metal surface, along with the standard backup lights, are shown here.
The five dial instrument cluster received an all-new bezel and was equipped with gauges rather than warning lights. The highly detailed interior includes ignition key and adjustable gear shifter.
The standard 1966 14 inch Pony hubcap and hubcap badge are authentically replicated on this model along with the White Wall tyres.
The model features a removable air filter cover with the original 289 cubic inch and Autolite stickers adorning it. This can be found in the boot of the model.
The high performance 289ci V8 engine and surrounding bay has been faithfully replicated and looks just as good as the original.
Ford painted all 1966 Mustang engines Blue and this, along with the single standard exhaust and detailed front suspension components, is accurately replicated.
The 16 gallon fuel tank is mounted beneath the luggage compartment. Note the driveshaft that spins with the rotation of the rear wheels.
