In 1930, the roadway was completely replaced by bus, and in 1943 Burton had its first double layers, two Utility Guy Arabs with the Weymann H56R bodywork, built to war specifications that included wooden wheel seats. In 1944 additional deliveries included – Burton Corporation No. among others. 34, a Guy Arab II 5LW, registration FA 7978, equipped with a royal park.
